In this unit, an introductory project in wood allows students to become familiar with correct and safe workshop practice. Once accustomed to workshop methodology, students follow a design process where a design brief challenges them to design and plan a product for manufacture.
Essential Questions
What is the role of the design process?
How do characteristics and properties of various woods influence my design?
How do I communicate my ideas in Product Design and Technology?
Why do we evaluate our production work on completion?
Assessment
